Here is 3 easy solutions to connect your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to your Windows computer/PC if you are getting the error message or code 0xE80000A or 0xE800000A from iTunes. Once you get this solved your windows will recognize your iPhone in the windows explorer as well.

Take note that i only had this issue when trying to connect my iPhone XR or iPhone XS to my Windows 10 laptop, however all previous iPhone models worked no problem.
Please comment on what step worked for you.

iTunes could not connect to this iphone. An unknown error occurred (0xe80000a) or (0xe800000a)

This should work for iPhone 4, 5, 6, 6 plus, 6s, 6s plus, 7, 7 plus, 8, 8 plus, X, XS, XS Max, XR, iPad mini, iPad Air, iPod Touch, etc.

  4. Nothing worked for me… deleting the folder didn’t help, I restarted & when I tired to update iTunes after, my computer then told me iTunes would not update because the file was corrupted…
